Gun Safety Tips

Guns can be very dangerous, especially for younger children who don’t know what they can do. Safety preparations need to be taken when a gun is stored in your home. It is important to take extra precautions to reduce the risk of injury or death if your firearm is fired.

It is important to keep your firearms stored and locked away. There are plenty of options to store your guns. Find one that meets the approved guidelines and that is in the price range you are hoping for.

Always treat firearms as if they are loaded. Accidents often happen when people believe a gun is unloaded when it is actually loaded. A good rule of thumb is to treat a gun carefully even when you are sure it isn’t loaded.

Keep your fingers off of the trigger at all times. When handling the gun it is important to have the safety latch put on. Point the muzzle away from non-targets

Disassemble your gun before you store it. If you are able to keep the parts separated there will be less chance of a gun being loaded and shot because they will have to piece the gun together. Ammunition can also be stored in a separate location for this same reason.

There are locks you can actually place on your gun for protection. Locks usually need to be secured around the trigger guard. If locks are removed by force they usually ruin the gun, making it unusable.

Locks make it hard to fire a gun, but sometimes they can malfunction and a gun can still be loaded and shot with the locked trigger. Locks are meant only to add to safety precautions. They aren’t always reliable, so they shouldn’t be the only form of protection you have against them being used.

Children need to be supervised very closely whenever the gun is not stored and locked away. Educate your children on gun safety and the importance to not play with firearms. Explain to them why they shouldn’t ever handle a gun, especially without being properly trained first.

Gay Tour Packages In Ecuador

Although a small country, Ecuador boasts a wide array of geographic and cultural diversity, including a variety of indigenous groups with distinctive cultures and languages. From snow-capped volcanoes and rainforests to tropical shorelines, Ecuador has varying landscapes and climates, making it wonderful for gay tours or exciting adventures a great idea any time of the year.

While the Galapagos Islands are perhaps the most frequently visited attraction in Ecuador, the mainland is also filled with numerous activities and sightseeing opportunities that ensure gay tours to Ecuador will be exciting, fulfilling and memorable. Whether you seek an outdoor adventure, a spiritual journey or gay travel that consists of exploring the LGBT community in Quito, trekking through the rainforest and spending lazy afternoons on the beach, you will surely see why so many travelers return to this popular tourist destination year after year.

Quito is unquestionably the center of LGBT life in Ecuador and has a growing community. La Mariscal is the neighborhood where you will find the most friendly establishments, including cafs, bars, clubs and a new community store called Rainbow Connection. There is a Pride celebration in June each year in the bohemian neighborhood of La Mariscal, and this is the place to see and be seen on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year.

Sitting 9,200 feet above sea level and with the 13,000-foot volcano, Pichincha, nearby, Quito can be – quite literally – a breathtaking city when you first arrive, but you are sure to acclimate soon after arrival. Many streets are lined with shops, cafs and art galleries, and the historic center of town has been dubbed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, increasing the appeal of this diverse city. Major attractions include the Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, the Museo de la Ciudad, the Capilla del Hombre Guayasamin and the Parque el Ejido, which is lined with open-air stalls with handicrafts for sale.

Since the late 1990s, legal rights have expanded in Ecuador with protections that make gay travel tours to this beautiful country safer and more enjoyable. However, discretion in public is still a good idea in many places, particularly due to the high level of machismo the still permeates the culture. Those who are considering gay vacations to Ecuador may want to take advantage of pre-arranged gay tours, which allow for a higher level of security and a focus on fun, while travel professionals manage logistical aspects of the voyage and ensure that you will not miss out on some of the most appealing cultural, historic and natural attractions that Ecuador has to offer.

This will allow you to relax and get the most out of your journey, while professional travel organizers take care of the logistics and ensure that you will have the chance to experience the many historic, cultural and natural attractions that Ecuador offers.

Gay Travel Destinations In Hawaii

Hawaii is a Pacific paradise that has long held a distinct allure for travelers from around the world. With a warm, welcoming native population and a well-balanced, culturally-rich blend of Asian, Polynesian and white European cultures, Hawaii is a popular destination for straight and gay vacations alike. While the LGBT community may seem a bit quiet and low-key on the islands, those taking part in gay adventure travel to Hawaii will find a high level of acceptance, due in part to generations of different cultures growing accustomed to living together with no one overriding cultural or religious influence.

Seventy percent of Hawaii’s population resides on Oahu, the third largest island in the chain, which is also home to the state capitol of Honolulu and the popular tourist destination, Waikiki. When traveling to Oahu on gay holidays, the Mexican caf La Cucaracha is a must-see and offers authentic cuisine, music and margaritas. Oahus LGBT community can also be found at the community book, novelty and clothing store, 80% Straight Inc., located in the Waikiki Grand, or one of the LGBT bars and clubs, including Fusion Waikiki, Angles Waikiki, Hulas Bar & Lei Stand and In-Between. For those who want to head to the beach, a warm welcome will be waiting at Queens Surf and below the lighthouse at the world-famous Diamond Head beach.

A gay vacation to Maui might not include an exciting scene, other than one smaller area of Little Beach in Makena, but Maui has much to offer to any traveler, including old-world villages, sunrises atop Mount Haleakala and wiling away an afternoon wandering amid waterfalls, making this island a wonderful location for gay travel tours. If you prefer exploring the most tropical, scenic island in Hawaii, Kauai is a must-see stop and is home to two LGBT-friendly lodgings that offer clothing optional areas, as well as amazing canyons, cliffs and waterfalls.

The Big Island is also a welcoming vacation option and offers several LGBT-friendly accommodations, restaurants and business, as well as one bar. Gay vacations to the Big Island provide opportunities to visit an active volcano, black sand beaches, a rain forest or the snow-capped Mauna Kea.

Hawaii is the most remote chain of islands anywhere in the world and is a tropical paradise that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. In a single trip to Hawaii you can snorkel or scuba dive around coral reefs, tour a pineapple farm, visit a volcano, learn the hula, participate in a luau and ride on horseback along black sand beaches. To take full advantage of all that Hawaii offers, consider visiting Hawaii with a gay vacation tour, or arranging your trip through a travel agency accustomed to organizing Hawaii gay travel packages.

Each and every charity association is different. Some with regards to management and all with regards to the needs which they serve. However, one thing all have in common is that they are ran by those who contribute to their causes. Sadly, this has been a target of recent fraud so one need be very careful before donating funds to anyone or any organization representing themselves on behalf of a charity. Because, if not careful and often, without knowledge, one could be contributing to people who may be wishing to do harm rather than relieve it. To this end, inspect any and all organizations before you donate any materials, time or money and if you find anything suspicious, notify authorities immediately.

Issues such as misappropriation of funds as well as the funding of terrorism and terrorist organizations are definitely two important things to watch for when making such a decision. Most areas have a listing of questionable organizations related to such through some governmental office. To this end, this is not only important in the regard of keeping one and others safe but also to assure the monies given reaches those for whom it is intended.

One way to protect oneself from such a situation is to visit the office of any organization one is donating funds to. In addition, one may also want to visit one or more of the benefiting parties in order to better understand where and how their donations are being used. For example, if you are donating to Montreal associations, then do you research on these associations. This way one can see first hand how the organization operates and what their beneficiaries are doing with the funds. If they run charity dinners in Montreal restaurants, make sure it is legitimate. To this end, one knows their donated funds are going in the direction in which they were intended.

When it comes to donating to a charity, a number of organizations exist in which one can not only donate money but also materials and time. Also, while many of these groups help those less fortunate, there are also those that bring aid to entire countries and societies during a crisis. A good example of this is the ongoing crisis due to the earthquake in Haiti.

One must be sure to keep track of receipts for all donations made as most are tax deductible; Also, it is good to have the receipts on hand in case there were ever a question regarding a tax filing. Because, although tax audits may be rarely performed, some still are. To this end, always keep your charitable contribution receipts, both for your own benefit and for later proof if questioned.

Also, before donating money or time, one need also be sure the charity fund is set up through legal channels. Not only because one needs to know where their contributions are being distributed to but also to assure individuals get the proper tax deduction with regards to their donations. This has become especially true since the terrorist attack on the U. S. In 2001 as new laws and regulations have been set up accordingly to avoid the funneling of charitable funds to terrorist organizations.

Some see great personal and financial growth by the act of giving money to an organization. Others, find that they also wish to make donations in the way of materials and time or in addition to other contributions. Regardless, when it comes to charity, most all donations are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

In conclusion, laws relating to charitable contributions have changed in some areas in recent years. However, these laws are mostly related to the tax code and how it relates to any charity association. Still, if one is involved in anything related to charitable contributions and taxes, it is most likely good one know the law. To this end, follow these steps and one assures their donations will be used in the proper manner in which they are intended.

Hunting In Georgia

Georgia is a very popular place for quail hunting. Much like Alabama Quail Hunting there is a strong tradition for hunting the tasty flying bird known as the quail. Every year, hunters hunt everywhere the north Georgia mountains to the southern Georgia swamps looking for Georgia quail as well as other water fowl. Georgia to quail hunting season is on right now from mid-November through late February. If you’re going to a Georgia quail hunting spot, then keep in mind that there is a 12 per hunter limit.

Almost 300,000 hunters registered in Georgia in 2008. Many people in Georgia consider hunting a way of life. Some families even depend on hunting for an economical source of meat year-round. After quail season, the bird hunters of Georgia look ahead for March so that they can hunt turkey. The turkey limit in Georgia is three per hunter! Turkeys love to follow the rivers and streams near woodlands and will emerge in the wide open at times when you least expect it. I would consider the turkey, the fox of the bird kingdom… and in Georgia is a “fox”that is well hunted.

Waterfowl love the Georgia swamps that welcome duck, pheasants, dove and geese the year. Be careful when hunting around the swamps of Georgia, there’s a few birds you need to know about due to their endangered species designations. The one that comes to mind first is the woodcock. The careful and know what the woodcock looks like. Georgia game wardens are notoriously sneaky, not to mention you want to take care of the environment.

Marsh hens are a popular food source for hunters and a larger bird that keeps well in the freezer. One bird nobody minds that you kill in Georgia is the crow! Hunting regulations in Georgia say you can kill as many as you want. Go, shoot some crow, and have fun!

If you are really searching for adventure you can go alligator hunting around the first of September to October! Wildlife is plentiful in the state of Georgia. You got some of the biggest buck you can find anywhere! There is also bear hunting in the north Georgia mountains for the more adventurous!

Another animal, the wild hog, is invading the state of Georgia and you can hunt year around for it on private land! Wild hogs are not native and they have the ability to destroy a lot of habitat and forage for the other native animals. Wild boar also have a bad habit of destroying gardens and fences throughout the north Georgia mountains.

My hunt of choice is bob white quail hunting, as well as dove hunting! I love cooked quail after a hunt. Although you might not get a lot of meat per bird, the flavor is awesome. I will keep it simple and marinate the breast in a sweet barbecue sauce with fresh garlic for a few hours. I heat some olive oil and add a little fresh garlic! I will add the quail breast and cook about 10 minutes until golden brown! Nothing beats a belly full of quail on a Georgia Saturday night!

Georgia quail hunting is very popular because the habitat for bobwhites is perfect. The grassy marshes of Georgia swamp land to the nutrient rich cornfields provide a bounty of food for the birds. Georgia is teeming with birds and other wildlife. The hunting is good.

There is nothing greater than quail on the bob on your next hunting trip! There are enough Bob White quails in Georgia to keep the hunters busy all season long!
